Seat Inca Cruise Control Problem
Summary of the thread
The 2001 Seat Inca's cruise control system stopped working, with an error stored in the system. Initial checks ruled out pedal switch and fuse issues, leading to suspicion of a defective cable or plug connection. A suggestion was made to check the speed sensor, but ultimately, a garage confirmed the problem was indeed a defective cable connection, resolving the issue.

Interesting. Where exactly is the speed sensor located, and how would I go about checking it? Also, did you have an error light on the dashboard?

Yes, the error light was on the dashboard. Honestly, I'm not that technical. I just took mine to a workshop, they sorted it out pretty quickly. It could be a faulty connection as you suspect. Best to let the pros handle it.

I wanted to report back. The garage found a defective cable connection as suspected. The invoice was 95€, so not too bad. Thanks for your help.

Whoa, cruise control failure is the worst! I had a similar problem with my Inca. Have you checked the speed sensor?
