Seat Inca Diesel Engine Problems

I have a Seat Inca from 2000, with a diesel engine. Lately, the vehicle has been difficult to start, and the fuel consumption seems higher than normal. I've also noticed a reduction in engine power and uneven idling, sometimes the engine even stalls at idle. I suspect it might be a defective injection nozzle, possibly due to a dirty injection valve. Any ideas?

That sounds like a similar problem I had with my Seat (don't remember the exact year). Starting issues, rough idling… It could be a dirty injector. Have you tried using an injector cleaner additive with your gasoline?

I haven't tried any additives. When you had the issue, did the injector cleaner solve it completely, or did you end up needing a replacement?

The cleaner helped a bit, but the problem kept coming back. I eventually had to get the injectors replaced. If the cleaner doesn't do the trick, I'd suggest a visit to a workshop. They can diagnose it properly and see if a replacement is necessary. Ignoring it will only make things worse, affecting the overall performance.

Thanks for the help. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a defective injection nozzle. Had all four replaced. Total cost was 515€. Runs like new now.
