Seat Inca Diesel Engine Trouble

Blimey! My 2002 Seat Inca diesel's throwing a wobbly. Check engine light's on, error in the memory, and it's running rough as anything. Mileage is at 171100 km. Reckon it's a water sensor issue, likely an electrical fault with the cable or plug connection. Has anyone else had this?

That sounds like a pain. Did you check the sensor itself for any visible damage? Or maybe try cleaning the contacts on the plug?

Good shout! Where exactly is the water sensor located, and is there a trick to sensor testing without special tools?

Could be a loose connection or corrosion. If you're not comfortable poking around with auto electronics, I'd suggest a workshop visit. It's a pain, but might save you bigger headaches later on.

Big thanks! Turns out it was indeed the water sensor cable. 95€ later and my Seat Inca is purring like a kitten again!
