Seat Inca error message in speedometer

My 2001 Seat Inca with a gasoline engine is showing a strange error. I'm getting an error message in the speedometer, which is also stored in the error memory. This seems to be causing system failures, and the warning light in the speedometer stays on. Could it be a sensor failure? It might be a collision avoidance issue.

I also have a Seat Inca, though I'm unsure of the year, and I had a similar problem recently. The error message and warning light suggest a sensor issue. I'd recommend checking the radar sensor for dirt or obstructions. It's often the easiest fix.

Thanks for the quick reply! Where is the radar sensor located? Did you have to calibrate the radar after cleaning it, or did it just work?

Cleaning the sensor resolved the problem I had. I'd still suggest a workshop visit to address the electronic issue properly. I didn't need to recalibrate after cleaning; it worked as expected. A dirty sensor is likely the cause given your symptoms.

Just to let you know, you were right! I cleaned the radar sensor thoroughly, and the error message is gone. Systems are working again, and the warning light is off. The cleaning supplies cost 45€. Thanks for the help!
