Seat Inca Fault Code Incorrect Vehicle Coding

Resetting the codes with a basic scan tool was only a temporary fix; the error would return after a short drive. It definitely sounds like a coding problem with the control module, which is beyond my capabilities to fix. I would recommend getting it checked by a qualified workshop with the necessary diagnostic equipment.

So, you're saying a simple reset codes operation didn't solve the issue for you either? Was the problem also related to the coding of the vehicle's control module?

Took it to a workshop as you suggested. The coding was indeed incorrect. They used a diagnostic scanner to reset codes and recode the control module. Cost me 360€, but the error message is gone now. Thanks for the insight!

I experienced something similar with my Inca, though I don't recall the exact fault code. Was it accompanied by any noticeable performance issues, or was it purely an informational error? Did you try a generic scan tool to reset codes, or did you use a specialized diagnostic scanner?
