Seat Inca heater blowing cold

Cheers for the quick reply! Corrosion is a good shout, I'll have a look. When you say 'checked', do you mean just visually, or is there a way to test the signal is actually getting through to the valve? I'm fairly handy with a multimeter if needed. Also, where is the heater core in that model?

Yeah, I get you! When I said 'check', I meant visually initially. I found some corroded pins. You can test the signal with a multimeter, but you'll need the wiring diagram for your Inca to know what readings to expect. Honestly, tracing electrical gremlins can be a real headache, even harder than finding the heater core (usually under the dash somewhere). It might be worth getting a garage to take a look, especially if you're not 100% confident. They can diagnose it properly and give you a fixed price for the repair. But it sounds like you're on the right track.

Just got the Inca back. Turns out it was the water valve cable like we suspected. 95€ all in. Thanks for the advice, you steered me in the right direction. Much appreciated!

Water valve issue on a Seat Inca huh? Sounds suspiciously like the grief I had with my old Renault Megane. Heater blowing cold air is never fun, especially this time of year. The error code points to the valve or its connections. Have you checked the plug and wiring for corrosion or damage? Sometimes it's just a loose connection causing the problem. Like a dodgy light switch in your house, sometimes it's just a loose wire.
