Seat Inca transport mode issue

I have a 2001 Seat Inca with a gasoline engine. The mileage is 160742 km. I suspect that the transport mode is active on the car. This causes a general electrical malfunction and the navigation system is without function. According to the seller, this is because the vehicle is new. What are the potential solutions to this issue, especially regarding the car electronics and automotive settings? A software adjustment could be an option?

Wow, transport mode on a 2001 Inca? That's pretty unusual! It's normally for new vehicles before they're sold, right? I'm no expert, but it basically shuts down some car electronics to save the battery during shipping. Does your navigation really not work? And electrical malfunction, what do you mean by that? Also, how did you check if transport mode is active?

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes, navigation is completely dead. With electrical malfunction, I mean for example the interior lights do not work. How can I disable this transport mode? Do I need to visit a workshop?

Okay, navigation dead and interior lights not working definitely points to transport mode still being active. The 'vehicle is new' excuse is weird, but I guess anything is possible. You can't disable transport mode without the right tools. You will need a diagnostic tool and the correct software, or you have to go to a workshop. They should be able to disable it pretty easily. It's a setting in the car's computer.

Problem resolved. Transport mode was indeed the culprit. The vehicle was simply not properly configured at the factory. I used a diagnostics tool to disable it. Thanks for your help!
