Thank you for your response. I have checked the fuse, and it appears to be intact. Regarding the pump, I have located it, but I'm not entirely sure how to properly test the cable connection. Could you provide more detail on how you diagnosed the issue on your Volvo, specifically concerning the electrical connection?

On my Volvo, the problem was indeed a corroded connector to the pump. I cleaned it, but the issue reappeared shortly after. Ultimately, I opted to replace the entire pump assembly. Given your description, I would strongly advise against attempting extensive DIY repairs, especially if you are uncertain about the electrical system. It might be best to have a qualified technician inspect the cable connections and relay. It could save you time and potential further complications.

I appreciate your insight. I took the vehicle to a workshop, as you suggested. It turned out to be a faulty cable connection to the pump, as suspected. The final bill was 165€ including labor and parts. The Xenon headlight cleaning system is now fully functional, and the windshield washer is also working again.

That sounds frustrating. I had a similar issue with my Volvo a few years ago, although it wasn't related to Xenon lights, as my car doesn't have them. The windshield washer stopped working, and it turned out to be a problem with the headlight cleaning system as well. Did you check the fuse for the pump? Sometimes it's just a simple blown fuse. Also, have you tried to locate the pump itself and check the hose for any visible damage or disconnection?
