My 2009 Seat Leon with a diesel engine has a central locking problem. None of the door locks work anymore. I scanned for errors, and it shows an error related to the central locking system. The report says the cable or plug connection might be defective. Mileage is 186021 km.

Summary of the thread

A 2009 Seat Leon experienced a central locking failure, affecting all door locks and the car alarm. An error scan indicated a potential issue with the cable or plug connection. The problem was resolved by repairing a defective cable connection, costing 95€.

Whoa, that sounds super frustrating! I had something similar happen on my Leon, though I can't recall the exact year. Are all the door locks affected?

Yeah, all the door locks are affected. The car alarm doesn't work either. Was it really the same for you? What did you do to fix it?

Yep, sounds very similar. I messed around trying to find a short, but gave up quickly. Ended up taking it to a workshop, and they sorted it out. I would advise you to do the same.

Got it sorted. It was indeed a defective cable connection. 95€ later, the central locking is working again.
