Seat Leon Diesel EGR Valve Issue

I'm experiencing an issue with my 2021 Seat Leon diesel. The check engine light is on, and engine power is reduced. There's smoke from the exhaust when accelerating, rough engine running, and increased fuel consumption. I also feel a jerking sensation and hear a hissing sound during acceleration. I suspect a defective EGR valve. Has anyone encountered similar symptoms?

I had something similar happen with my Leon not too long ago. Reduced power and the check engine light were the first signs. Did you notice any difference in fuel consumption?

Yes, the fuel consumption has definitely increased noticeably, and there's some rough engine running now. Was the EGR valve the culprit in your case as well?

Yep, sounds very familiar. My check engine was on and vehicle emissions increased because of a faulty EGR valve. I suggest you take it to a workshop ASAP.
