Thanks for your reply. It is currently only happening on the driver's door. The other doors lock and unlock normally. Was it definitely the door latch or perhaps something related to the door switch or a car sensor issue?

Yep, sounds exactly like what I experienced. The workshop diagnosed it as a faulty door latch and a problem with the integrated door sensor. It's probably best to get it checked out by a professional to be sure. They can test the door switch and the wiring.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. A local mechanic found a defective cable within the door latch mechanism, just as you suspected. The door sensor was indeed the culprit. The repair cost 95€. All automatic locks now work as expected. A faulty door contact signal is now a thing of the past.

Sounds like a dodgy door latch. I had something similar happen with my Leon. The automatic locks went haywire because the car couldn't tell if the driver's door was properly shut. Is it only happening on one door, or are all the doors affected?
