Seat Leon Gasoline engine power loss and whistling noise

My 2022 Seat Leon gasoline is throwing a check engine light and has significantly reduced engine power. I'm also experiencing poor engine response, occasional engine stalls at idle, and higher fuel consumption. Plus, there's a distinct whistling noise, almost a loud hissing, when accelerating. Suspect it's a boost pressure system issue. Any ideas?

Had similar issues with my Leon, though it's an older model. Check the MAP sensor and all the boost control pipes for leaks. That whistling sounds familiar.

Did you also experience turbo lag and engine stalling at idle? Where did you find the leak?

Yep, the turbo lag was awful, and the stalling was intermittent but annoying. Never found the exact leak myself, took it in. They said the wastegate valve was defective.

Appreciate the insight. Turns out it was the wastegate valve. Cost me 860€ to get it sorted, but at least the boost control is back to normal.
