Thanks for the fast reply. Where exactly are these connectors located? And is there a way to test these? I am pretty handy with tools, but electricity is like black magic to me...

They are usually on the back of the headlight assembly itself. Before touching anything I would disconnect the battery. Then carefully unplug each electrical connector, inspect for any signs of corrosion (white or greenish residue), and reseat them firmly. If that doesn't solve it, honestly, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. Faulty servomotors are tricky, and you might need diagnostic tools to pinpoint the problem. It could also be a software glitch in the control module, which is beyond most DIY fixes.

Took the Leon to a trusted mechanic. You were spot on. The servomotor in the headlight was indeed broken. Cost me 1040€ to get it sorted, new part and labor. At least I can see properly at night now. Thanks again for your help.

I also own a Seat Leon, although I don't know the exact year, and I remember encountering something similar a while back. If I recall correctly, the auto-leveling system can cause these issues. Have you checked the electrical connectors going to the headlight unit itself? Sometimes they become corroded or loose, which can cause a malfunction.
