Seat Leon Hybrid Misfire Problem

Alright, I'm pulling my hair out here. My 2020 Seat Leon hybrid is running rough. I'm getting uneven engine running, a check engine light, and error codes in the memory. It's got 162472 km on the clock. The main symptom is jerking when accelerating. I suspect an exhaust leak, but I've checked the usual spots. I'm thinking engine misfire but where do I start?

Rough idle and jerking with a check engine light? Sounds like a fun one. Have you checked the basics? Could be anything from a bad ignition coil to a clogged air filter. Does the error code point to a specific cylinder misfire? Or is it more generic?

The error code is P0300, random/multiple cylinder misfire detected. I've already checked the ignition coils and they seem fine. Could a fuel pump issue cause this, even with a hybrid engine?

P0300 with a hybrid could still be fuel related, but an exhaust leak is a strong suspect with those symptoms. It can mess with the O2 sensor readings and cause all sorts of chaos. Since you've checked coils, get that exhaust system properly smoke tested. The hybrid system adds another layer of complexity. Honestly, I'd get it to a decent workshop before you chase ghosts.

Yep, exhaust leak confirmed. Replaced a section of the exhaust system, and the misfire is gone. Cost me 265€, but worth it. Thanks for the help!
