Seat Mii Damping Adjustment Fault

My 2014 Seat Mii with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. I've got this warning light on the dash, and the ride is incredibly bumpy. Plugged it into a code reader, and it's showing a damping adjustment fault. Mileage is at 178395 km. Could it be a defective cable or plug connection? The report said the repair cost should be around 95€.

Sounds like a dodgy connection. The error code you're seeing probably relates to the adaptive damping system. Have you checked the wiring and plug connections to the dampers themselves? Sometimes a bit of road debris can damage them.

Thanks for the quick response! Where exactly are those connections located? I'm not super familiar with vehicle suspension systems, but I'm willing to have a look before taking it to a mechanic. Any specific areas I should focus on?

Sounds like a classic case of a loose or corroded connector. Given the age of the car and the symptoms, it's almost certainly the wiring or plug going to one of the dampers. If you're not comfortable poking around the suspension, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop to get it checked out. Could save you a lot of hassle in the long run.

Took it to the workshop. They found a loose connection on the damping control module, as suspected! 95€ later, the error's cleared and the ride is smooth again. Thanks for your help!
