Seat Mii electric sunroof issues

Alright, so I'm having a total nightmare with my Seat Mii (2021, electric engine). The vehicle sunroof is acting crazy! The sunblind is jammed in one spot, and the convertible top is completely unresponsive – won't open or close. The sunblind is not retracting and extending at all. Anyone else experienced this?

That sounds suspiciously like a coding issue. Has any diagnostic work been carried out on the vehicle recently? I had a similar problem with the sunroof control on my Mii. The sunblind got stuck, and the convertible top wouldn't budge. It turned out to be a corrupted sunroof calibration after some changes to the car's software.

Yeah, actually, I did have some coding done recently to tweak a few things. So, are you saying the coding is the reason for my automobile sunroof problem? What exactly is 'sunroof calibration,' and how do I fix it?

Indeed, it does sound like a similar scenario. 'Sunroof calibration' refers to the process of teaching the sunroof control module the correct positions of the sunroof and sunblind. When the coding is altered, it can sometimes lose this information, leading to these symptoms. Unfortunately, recalibration typically requires diagnostic equipment, so I would advise a visit to a workshop.

You were spot on! Took it to the workshop, and it turns out the sunroof just needed a recalibration. They said the coding probably messed it up. Cost me 75€, but everything’s working perfectly now! Thanks a million for the help!
