Seat Mii Electric Windshield Washer Problem

I'm at my wit's end with my 2021 Seat Mii (electric engine)! My windshield washer heater seems to have given up the ghost. I keep getting an error stored in the error memory. To make matters worse, the spray nozzles froze solid during the recent cold snap, making winter driving incredibly dangerous. I suspect it might be a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone experienced this before? My Mii has 151523 km on it. Any thoughts before I shell out a fortune at the repair shop?

I had a similar issue with my Seat Mii. The windshield heater stopped working, and I also saw an error code. Did you check the fuse box? Sometimes it's just a blown fuse. Otherwise, it might be a faulty heating element in the windshield washer system itself.

Thank you for the quick response! I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. When you had the issue, did the washer motor still work, or was everything completely dead? I'm trying to narrow down if it's the heating element or something else entirely.

Yes, the washer motor itself was still functional. The problem was specifically with the windshield heater circuit. Given that you've checked the fuses, it does sound like the heating element or, as you mentioned, a faulty connection. I would recommend having a workshop take a look. They can properly diagnose the issue.

Excellent news! I appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I followed your advice and took it to a workshop; they confirmed the faulty windshield heater due to a defective plug connection. The repair cost me 95€. Now I'm ready for winter driving!
