Seat Mii Engine Stalling Issue

I am writing to report an issue with my 2011 Seat Mii, gasoline engine, mileage 184369 km. The check engine light is illuminated, and the engine stalls at idle. I suspect a fuel tank ventilation system leak.

The check engine light and stalling suggest an issue with the EVAP system. Has the fuel cap been checked? A loose or faulty cap can trigger these symptoms, and also generate leak detection faults.

I did check the fuel cap, and it seems secure. Could a faulty pressure sensor also cause these symptoms, perhaps interfering with emission control?

A faulty pressure sensor is possible, but less likely than a problem within the EVAP system itself. Given the symptoms, especially the stalling, a defective charcoal filter is plausible. Professional diagnostics at a workshop would be prudent.

I appreciate your input. The workshop confirmed a leak in the fuel tank ventilation system, traced to a defective activated charcoal filter. The repair cost was 275€, and the issue is now resolved.
