Seat Mii Engine Troubles After Fuel Filter Change
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around a 2021 Seat Mii experiencing engine troubles, including a check engine light, stalling at idle, and reduced power, following a fuel filter change. The initial concern is whether a defective fuel pressure regulator could be the cause, potentially damaged during the filter replacement. A similar past experience suggests that the fuel pressure regulator is likely the issue, and a visit to a garage confirms this, resolving the problem and clearing the error code.

Pressure drop, you say? I didn't specifically measure it, but the rough idle and power loss definitely felt like something was off. How did you diagnose the pressure drop? Did you connect a pressure sensor or something?

Yep, that sounds exactly like what I went through. If the check engine light came on right after changing the fuel filter, it's highly likely the pressure regulator. In my case, the fuel efficiency took a nosedive too. Better have a workshop take a look!

Appreciate the insight! Turns out you were spot on – it was the fuel pressure regulator throwing a hissy fit. After a quick trip to the garage and 45€ lighter, the Mii is purring like a kitten again. They cleared the error code that popped up after I messed with the fuel filter, and bingo, check engine light is gone!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had a similar experience with my Mii, though my mileage wasn't quite as high. Check engine light, rough idle, the whole shebang. Was there any noticeable pressure drop when it happened? Did you observe the fuel efficiency decreasing?
