Seat Mii Fuel Flap Issue

Good shout on the fuse, I'll check that tomorrow. The release button inside the car doesn't work either, which is what's really bugging me. Could it still be the fuse if both the button AND the key fob aren't working? Thought they might be separate circuits.

Okay, if the release button AND the key fob are both dead, and the error is stored, it's less likely to be just a fuse (though still worth checking!). Sounds more like the release mechanism itself has failed. Sometimes they get jammed or the solenoid motor burns out. Given that some other functions are also affected, it might be something more complex with the car's computer. Honestly, at this point, I'd probably bite the bullet and take it to a workshop. They'll have the diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact problem and replace the faulty part. Could save you a lot of time and frustration in the long run.

Just wanted to close the loop on this. Took it to the shop and they confirmed it was the fuel door release mechanism. 210€ later and it's working perfectly again. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like a pain! I had something similar happen on my old Passat, though it was the central locking playing up. Have you checked the fuse for the central locking system? Sometimes that can cause weird issues with the fuel door release since they're often linked. Also, does the release button inside the car work, or is it just the key fob that's failing? Knowing that might narrow down the problem.
