Seat Mii Keyless Entry Problem

My 2011 Seat Mii with a gasoline engine is giving me grief. The keyless access has stopped working on the driver's side, and the diagnostic tool throws an error related to the door electronics. I've already checked the fuses and the main wiring harness leading to the door, but no luck. The car has 140444 km on the clock. My initial thought is a defective door switch or a problem with the electric door locking system itself. The error memory points towards a cable or plug connection of the component being defective. Any ideas before I start tearing the door apart?

Sounds like a broken wire or a loose connection. Have you checked the wiring harness that goes into the door from the car body? Those are known to flex and break over time. The error code definitely points towards an electrical issue within the locking system circuit.

Good point, I did check the main connector, but I didn't disassemble the door itself. Any chance the door switch or the electric door locking system itself could be the culprit? The keyless entry antenna is also in that area, isn't it?

It definitely could be the door switch or the locking mechanism itself, but given the error code and your description, a wiring issue seems more likely. If the main harness looks okay, it might be inside the door panel. Honestly, chasing electrical gremlins can be a pain. If you're not comfortable with a multimeter and wiring diagrams, it might be worth getting a professional to take a look. Could save you a lot of time and potential headaches.

Took it to a local shop, and you were spot on. They found a faulty connector on the driver's side door module. Replaced the connector and recoded the module. Total cost was 95€. Appreciate the help!
