Seat Mii throttle valve issue

I am writing to inquire about an issue I am experiencing with my 2017 Seat Mii. The car has a gasoline engine. I suspect the throttle valve might be defective. I have noticed higher fuel consumption than usual, and the vehicle has been starting poorly lately. Could this be due to the throttle valve? Or perhaps even a defective accelerator pedal module?

I had a similar issue with my Mii. It might be worth checking the throttle position sensor as well. Sometimes a faulty reading there can cause similar symptoms. Have you checked for any air intake leaks? Also, what does the engine idle sound like? Any unusual noises?

Thank you for the advice. I took it to a local workshop and they confirmed that the throttle valve was indeed defective, likely due to a faulty accelerator pedal module. The total repair cost me 205€. The car is now running much better.
