Seat Tarraco Air Conditioning Failure

Okay, I'm officially losing my cool (pun intended!). My 2021 Seat Tarraco hybrid has decided that air conditioning is optional. The A/C system just doesn't switch on! I'm getting absolutely zero cold air and to top it all off there's an error chilling in the memory. I'm thinking maybe it is a belt tensioner problem because I can hear some strange noises from the engine. Any ideas before I end up selling a kidney to pay for repairs? Could this air conditioning drama be something simple, like a fuse? Or maybe something with the AC relay?

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Audi A4. The air conditioning would just randomly cut out. Error code pointed to the A/C system as well. Have you checked the AC relay switch? On my car, it was a known issue. Worth a look, especially given it's an electrical gremlin sort of problem. Maybe there's a faulty relay related to the A/C compressor in your Tarraco too. Have you scanned for any error codes related to low voltage specifically?

He swapped out the AC relay, checked the belt tensioner 'cause it was looking a bit tired, and now the air conditioning is blowing colder than ever. Feeling super relieved and ready for summer!
