Seat Tarraco Blower Problem
Summary of the thread
The fresh air blower in a 2018 Seat Tarraco stopped working, with no air circulation regardless of settings, and an error was stored. The initial suspicion was a blower motor failure. Another person suggested checking the fan speed controller, as it could also cause similar issues. However, the problem was confirmed to be a blower motor failure, and replacing it resolved the issue, restoring the HVAC system's functionality.

Fan speed controller? I was leaning towards the motor itself since the diagnostic tool flagged an error specifically related to its operation. Where is the controller located on the Tarraco? Any details would be appreciated.

Yes, the fan speed controller. It regulates the power to the blower motor. On the Ateca, it is located near the blower motor itself, accessible from the passenger footwell. Given that you have an error code pointing directly to the blower motor, it is likely the primary issue. Replacing the motor will probably solve the problem. I would advise you to go to a workshop.

I experienced a similar issue with my Seat Ateca. The climate control was completely unresponsive. Have you checked the fan speed controller? In my case, that was the culprit. Although I didn't see any error codes, replacing it resolved the air flow issue. It might be worth investigating before assuming the blower motor itself is defective. Can you hear any faint noises coming from the blower when you adjust the fan speed?
