Seat Tarraco Diesel Overheating Problem

I'm starting to get frustrated with my 2018 Seat Tarraco diesel. The engine's been overheating badly. I suspect the electric fan isn't working correctly. I'm thinking it's a bad cable or plug connection. Has anyone else experienced this?

Overheating on a Tarraco isn't ideal. First thought is always radiator fan issues. Could be the fan motor itself. Have you checked the basics, like coolant level? Also, does the electric fan kick in at all, even at high engine temperatures?

Coolant level is fine, I checked that first. The radiator fan does seem to spin intermittently, but it's definitely not consistent. When you say 'fan motor itself', is there any way to test that without just replacing the whole thing?

Inconsistent operation points towards a connection issue more than a completely dead fan motor. However, intermittent faults can be tricky to diagnose without proper equipment. Given the symptoms, and your suspicion, a workshop visit might be best. They can properly test the fan motor and wiring.

Took it to the shop, and the diagnosis was spot on. It was a faulty plug on the fan motor. 95€ later, and the temperature control is back to normal. Thanks again for your help.
