Seat Tarraco Diesel rough running and check engine light

Help! My 2018 Seat Tarraco diesel is playing up. Check engine light is on, and it feels like it's lost half its power! The engine's running rough too. I plugged in a scanner, and it's showing a faulty intake air temperature sensor. Anyone else had this car sensor problem?

I had a similar issue with my Tarraco, although mine's a newer model. Check engine light, sluggish performance... sound familiar? Could be the IAT sensor. Think of it like this: the engine is trying to breathe, and the sensor is telling it how much air is really there. If that temperature reading is off, the engine gets confused.

Interesting! So, you reckon it's definitely the air sensor then? Was it obvious when you looked at it, or did the garage have to diagnose it?

Yeah, sounds very similar. I didn't visually see anything wrong with the old temperature sensor, but the error code pointed to it. I'd suggest getting it checked professionally to be sure, but it's a likely culprit. A faulty IAT sensor can definitely cause those symptoms.

Got it sorted. It was indeed the intake air temperature sensor. New one cost me 155€ fitted. Runs like a dream now, thanks for the help!
