Seat Tarraco Engine Trouble
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Seat Tarraco with a gasoline engine is experiencing engine trouble, indicated by a check engine light, loss of power, increased fuel consumption, and rough idling. The error code suggests a 'crankshaft to camshaft reference value' issue, likely caused by a defective crankshaft sensor. Replacing the crankshaft sensor resolved the problem, restoring the car's performance.

Rough idling, yes! And sometimes it feels like it's about to stall. What was the solution in your case? Was it something to do with the timing chain?

Yep, crankshaft sensor was the culprit for me. The error code was the same. I wouldn't mess with the timing chain yourself unless you really know what you're doing. Best to take it to a workshop to get it checked out properly.

You were spot on! Took it to the workshop, and it was indeed the crankshaft sensor. They replaced it, and the car runs like new. Total cost was around 340€. Thanks for your help!

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Tarraco a while back. Check engine light, loss of power, the whole shebang. Did you notice any weird noises or rough idling?
