Seat Tarraco Hybrid Engine Problems

Alright, I'm having some serious issues with my 2023 Seat Tarraco hybrid. Lately, the vehicle has been starting poorly, my fuel consumption has gone way up, and I've noticed a real drop in engine power. The engine also idles unevenly, and it even stalls sometimes when I'm stopped. I'm thinking it might be a defective injection nozzle, maybe just dirty. Does that sound right?

Summary of the thread

The 2023 Seat Tarraco hybrid was experiencing poor starting, increased fuel consumption, reduced engine power, uneven idling, and occasional stalling. These issues were suspected to be caused by a defective or dirty injection nozzle. It was suggested to use fuel additives or seek professional diagnosis due to the 'check engine' light being on. Ultimately, a repair shop confirmed the problem as a defective injection nozzle, and after repair, the vehicle's performance returned to normal.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

A hybrid Seat Tarraco, eh? Interesting. Sounds like you've got a problem there. Have you tried using any fuel additives to clean the gasoline injection system? Sometimes that can help with dirty valves. Also, is the 'check engine' light on? What diagnostic codes are showing?

I haven't tried any fuel additives yet. I was hoping to avoid throwing more money at it without knowing for sure. The 'check engine' light is on, but I don't have a code reader. Is it possible to diagnose a dirty injection valve without one?

Well, without the codes, it's a bit like trying to find a needle in a haystack in the dark. It's possible it's a dirty injection valve, but those symptoms could point to a bunch of things. Given all you've described, though, and especially the check engine light, I'd strongly suggest taking it to a professional for a proper diagnosis. They can pinpoint the exact issue and save you money in the long run. It sounds like it might need a repair.

Just wanted to say thanks for your help. I took the vehicle to a repair shop, and they confirmed it was a defective injection nozzle, most likely due to it being dirty. The repair cost me 515€. Runs like new now!
