Seat Tarraco steering wheel controls issue

My 2021 Seat Tarraco hybrid has a problem: the multifunction steering wheel isn't working. Operation of the steering controls is no longer possible. Vehicle diagnostics shows an electrical fault, with an error stored in the error memory. Any ideas?

I had a similar connectivity problem with my Tarraco steering controls. Was the malfunction indicator on?

Yes, the malfunction indicator was on. Did you also get an error stored in the error memory?

Yep, same symptoms. Steering controls stopped working, error message, the whole deal. Best bet is to get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the info. I took it to the shop, and vehicle diagnostics confirmed a defective cable connection in the steering wheel. They sorted it for 95€. Steering controls are working again!
