Seat Tarraco Transmission Problems

I'm experiencing some serious transmission problems with my Seat Tarraco (2019 model, gasoline engine). The paddle shifters are unresponsive, the gearbox slips and shifts roughly, and I'm hearing grinding noises. The gearbox is now in emergency mode. Could this be the transmission control unit defective? Has anyone had similar problems? I fear I have to replace the control module and spend 1000€ to get rid of the gearbox issues.

I took your advice and brought the Tarraco to a workshop. The transmission control module was indeed defective, just as suspected. They replaced it, and after paying 1000€ the gearbox now shifts smoothly again. Thanks again for your help!
