Seat Toledo central locking malfunction
Summary of the thread
The central locking system of a 2017 Seat Toledo malfunctioned, preventing the doors from locking or unlocking. The error memory suggested a defective cable or plug connection as a possible cause. After considering potential issues like the key fob battery and manual key operation, it was determined that the problem likely lay within the locking mechanism or its connections. A workshop visit confirmed a defective plug connection, which was repaired, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the suggestions. The key fob battery is new, and the manual key doesn't work either. Any idea what the likely failure point might be? The error memory indicates a fault in the security system related to the door locks.

Right, if the key fob and manual key are not working, and there's an error code, it's probably not just the battery or a simple fix. It sounds like the locking mechanism itself, or a connection to it, might have failed. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop, they'll be able to diagnose it properly. I remember reading something about a common issue with the wiring harness in Seats, so your 'defective plug connection' sounds about right. Good luck!

Appreciate the input. Took it to the workshop, and as suspected, a defective plug connection was the culprit. 95€ later, and the door locks are functioning as intended.

I had a similar problem with my Seat Leon, same door locks issue. Have you checked the key fob battery? It might sound silly, but that was the cause for me once. Also, have you tried the manual key in the door? Just to rule out any central locking module weirdness.
