Seat Toledo electrical gremlins

I'm having problems with my 2009 Seat Toledo with a gasoline engine. It has 55927 km and is developing issues. I'm getting sporadic errors, warning lights, and failing systems, mostly audio/navigation. Sometimes the whole system shuts down. The error memory is full. I suspect a defective control module cable connection to the BUS system. Has anyone else had this?

That sounds like a real problem. Have you scanned it with an OBD-II reader to see what error codes show up? It could be a faulty sensor, but the audio/nav issue is strange.

I scanned it, and it showed a lot of codes, mostly communication errors between control modules. Nothing specific. The randomness is what gets me. Radio cuts out, then the ESP light is on, then it's fine. Does that indicate a wiring issue?

Communication errors and randomness suggest a wiring harness issue, especially with the audio/nav being affected since they're linked through the CAN bus. That's where the control module comes in. It could be a loose connection, corroded pins, or damaged wire. I'd suggest getting it to a workshop to check the control module and its wiring.

Car is back, and it was a bad cable connection to the control module, like I thought. The connection to the BUS system was faulty. They cleaned and re-seated everything, and it seems good so far. Cost 155€, much better than a new module. Thanks for the advice.
