Seat Toledo Headlight Range Control Problem

My 2006 Seat Toledo with a gasoline engine has a headlight range control fault. The error is stored in the error memory, and a warning light is illuminated on the speedometer. The low beam shines either too far up or too far down. I suspect a defective servomotor in the headlight. Any insights before I start tearing things apart?

Does the light intensity change erratically when the engine is running? Have you checked the control module for any visible damage or loose connections? It could also be a faulty headlight switch.

The light intensity doesn't change erratically, it's consistently misaligned. I haven't inspected the control module physically. Where is it typically located in a 2006 Toledo?

Took the Toledo to the workshop. Diagnosis confirmed defective servomotor in the headlight. Repair including parts and labor came to 1040€. Expensive, but the headlight range control is now functioning correctly. Thanks for the input.
