Seat Toledo Heater Failure

Need some help with my Seat Toledo from the year 2000. Engine is gasoline, mileage is at 187090 km. The seat heating isn't working. It doesn't get warm at all, and the error memory has a fault stored. I'm guessing the seat heating mat is defective. Has anyone else experienced this heater failure? Is it a common issue, or am I just lucky? I'm expecting a 390€ bill, which is a kick.

Sounds like a pain. I had something similar with my Toledo, though I don't remember the exact year. The seat heating just quit. Did you check the fuses? Sometimes it's something simple.

Fuses are good, unfortunately. I also scanned the error memory and there's a fault code related to the seat heating. So it looks like something more serious. When yours failed, was there also an error stored, or any other clues?

Yeah, mine threw an error code too. Pretty sure it was the seat warmer element itself. Honestly, I wouldn't mess with it too much yourself unless you're really confident. Airbags are involved, and you don't want to accidentally deploy one of those. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it checked out. Better safe than sorry.

Took it to the shop, and you were spot on. Faulty seat heating mat. Cost me 390€ to get it sorted. Expensive backside warmer. Thanks again for the help.
