Seat Toledo Overvoltage Errors

Voltage regulator... where exactly is that located, and how would I go about checking it? Is it something I can do myself, or am I better off taking it to a workshop?

Yes, it's certainly possible that a faulty voltage regulator could be the culprit, and given your mention of a weak battery, the two might be related. It's responsible for maintaining a stable voltage output from the alternator. If it fails, you could indeed experience an overvoltage situation, leading to the issues you're seeing. I would strongly advise against attempting to diagnose or repair the voltage regulator yourself unless you possess advanced mechanical knowledge. Given the complexity of modern automotive electrical systems, and the potential for further damage, I strongly suggest taking your Toledo to a qualified workshop for diagnosis and repair.

Turns out it was indeed the battery. Replaced it, and all the errors are gone. Cost me 290€, but at least the car is running smoothly again. Thanks for the advice, it really helped!

Overvoltage, huh? Sounds like a nasty electrical gremlin. I once had a similar issue with my Toledo - similar symptoms too. Did you check the voltage regulator? A faulty one can definitely cause a power surge and fry your systems. I'm curious, did you notice any specific patterns or circumstances when the errors appeared?
