Seat Toledo running rich

My 2018 Seat Toledo with a gasoline engine is giving me headaches. 156015 km on the clock. I suspect it's running too rich. Getting reduced engine power, the check engine light is on, rough idle, higher fuel consumption, and jerking when accelerating. Could a defective injection valve cause these problems?

A rich mixture, huh? Have you checked the air filter? A clogged air filter can sometimes cause that. Also, when was the last time the spark plugs were changed? Could be contributing to the rough running and jerking. Is there any chance to check the intake manifold for leaks?

Air filter looks clean, and I replaced the spark plugs about 30000 km ago. The intake manifold I have not checked for leaks. Where exactly should I be looking?

Yeah, those are classic symptoms of a rich mixture. If the air filter and spark plugs are ok, and you are not able to check the intake manifold properly, then faulty fuel injectors are a likely culprit. Could be leaking or not atomizing fuel correctly. Might be best to take it to a workshop to confirm. They can run proper diagnostics.

Took it to the shop as suggested. Turns out, a couple of fuel injectors were faulty. Got them replaced, along with new spark plugs since they were already in there. Cost me 515€. Runs like new now, thanks for the help.
