Seat Toledo Sunlight Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Seat Toledo is experiencing a sunlight sensor fault, leading to low heating output. The suspected cause is a wiring issue, specifically a defective cable or plug connection. A similar issue was resolved by checking the plug connection, where loose wires caused intermittent contact. Professional diagnosis confirmed a loose wire in the connector, and fixing it restored proper heating functionality.

When you say wiring and connections, are we talking about the plug itself, or further back into the loom? Is there a common point of failure I should be looking for?

Yes, in my case it was the plug connection itself. The wires going into the connector were a bit loose, causing intermittent contact. Have you considered getting it diagnosed professionally? It could save you time and potential headaches. A workshop should be able to pinpoint the fault quickly.

Took it to the workshop as suggested and they confirmed it was indeed the sunlight sensor. Turns out a wire was loose in the connector, just like you suspected. 95€ later and the heating is working perfectly again. Thanks for the help!

I had a similar issue with my Toledo, though I can't remember the exact fault code. The heating was definitely underperforming. Have you checked the wiring and connections to the sunlight sensor? That seems to be a common issue.
