Seat Toledo TPMS sensor issue

I am experiencing an issue with the tire pressure monitoring system on my 2007 Seat Toledo diesel. The speedometer displays a 'low tire' error, and the error memory confirms a sensor fault. All tires are properly inflated according to my pressure gauge. I suspect a failing tire pressure sensor, potentially due to a depleted battery. Has anyone encountered a similar situation?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my Toledo. The low tire warning and the error message were irritating. Did you check the air valve itself? Sometimes it can be faulty and cause incorrect readings.

Interesting point about the air valve. I inspected them visually for damage, but I haven't tested their functionality. Could a faulty valve cause a constant low pressure reading, even with proper inflation? What was the resolution for your issue?

Indeed, it can. The valve might not be sealing correctly, causing a slow leak and triggering the sensor. My issue turned out to be the sensor battery as well, like a dead watch battery. If you've ruled out physical damage and the pressure is correct, I'd advise taking it to a workshop for sensor diagnosis. It's the quickest way to confirm.

It was the tire pressure sensor battery. I replaced all four as a precaution, costing 280€. Thanks for the insight; it saved me diagnostic time.
