Sedici Combustion Misfires
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Fiat Sedici is experiencing combustion misfires, indicated by a check engine light, rough engine performance, and reduced power. Possible causes include faulty spark plugs, ignition coils, or a defective fuel pump. A suggested solution is to check the fuel injectors, as they may be clogged or failing, causing lean mixtures and misfires. It is recommended to seek professional diagnostics and repair.

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked the fuel pump. Spark plugs seem ok but could be coils. How would I test the fuel pump properly? Is it difficult?

Testing fuel pressure usually requires a special gauge, so might be best left to a mechanic if you don't have one. However, based on your symptoms, especially the jerking and misfires, I'd lean towards a defective fuel injector. They can get clogged or fail, causing lean mixtures and misfires in specific cylinders. I'd advise you to go to a workshop for further diagnostics. It cost me 515€ in the end.

Thanks a lot! I'll take it to a shop and mention the injectors. Hopefully, that's the issue. Appreciate the help!

Hey, that sounds familiar. I had similar issues with my Sedici. Combustion misfires can be tricky. First, have you checked the basics like spark plugs and coils? A faulty fuel pump can also cause similar symptoms because if the fuel pump isn't delivering enough fuel, it's like the engine is being starved of gasoline. Have you noticed any issues when starting the car?
