Sedici Ignition Problems

Alright, so my 2012 Fiat Sedici diesel is giving me fits. 218268 km on the clock. Ignition switch is acting up. Engine sometimes won't start, other times it shuts off mid-drive, and occasionally runs rough. Checked for loose connections and coil pack, but nothing obvious. Dashboard lights are all over the place when I turn the key. Anyone seen this before?

I understand you're experiencing some rather disruptive issues with your Fiat Sedici. Given the symptoms you've described, could you verify if the ignition fuse is intact and functioning correctly? Also, does the behavior change depending on how forcefully you turn the ignition key?

Good shout on the fuse, I'll check that first thing. As for the key turn, no, doesn't seem to matter how hard or gently I turn the ignition key. Same erratic behavior either way. Any other thoughts if the fuse is fine?

If the fuse is not defective and the key turn does not affect the symptoms, it would be prudent to have the ignition switch assembly and related wiring inspected by a qualified technician. It is possible there are internal issues within the switch itself or a short circuit present. Continuing to operate the vehicle in this condition could cause further damage. Thanks for the input! Fuse was indeed the culprit. Replaced it and seems to be running fine. Cost me 52€ at the local parts shop. Appreciate the help!
