Sedici power steering vibration
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Fiat Sedici diesel experienced power steering issues, including vibration, shaking, and spongy handling, with an error stored in the system. The problem was suspected to be related to a bad cable or plug, as the hydraulic fluid was fine. A suggestion was made to check the electrical connections to the power steering motor, which led to the discovery of a defective plug connection. Repairing this connection resolved the issue.

Thanks! Could you be more specific about the electrical connections to the power steering motor? Where should I look, and what am I looking for? Any specific connectors or wires known to cause trouble? I want to be thorough.

It was a faulty connection for me. But honestly, with those symptoms, a workshop visit might be smart. There could be other issues with the steering system causing the connection to fail.

Okay, thanks! The workshop found a defective plug connection, like you said. It cost 95€ to repair. I appreciate the help!

I had something similar with my Sedici. Felt like wrestling an alligator to park! Check the electrical connections to the power steering motor. It's often the problem, like a loose wire shorting.
