Hey there, Your experience with your Sorento sounds a lot like my issue with my Sportage. I genuinely hope it's just a case of some crossed wires and nothing more serious. I suppose a trip back to the mechanics is in order, despite my past experiences. I was just wondering, do you remember roughly how much the repair cost you? Also, after the fix, have you noticed any other related problems or was everything back to normal? Cheers for the advice!

Hey again, Ah, I see your concern. I was lucky enough, post the fix, I've not had any other related problems and thankfully, the pesky seat function was back to its old self. The good old Kia Sportage was off and running flawlessly again! Now, if memory serves me right, the total cost was around 95.00 € to sort out the rogue cable and plug connection. Yeah, I had to shell out a few bucks, but in the end it was worth it to have the thing running smoothly, not to mention the comfort of a functioning electric seat! Don't be too wary of the mechanics, not all garages are the same. Wish you a better experience this time around! Catch ya on the flip side!

Hey! Thanks for filling me in with the cost and your assurance of the problem not recurring. I’m glad to hear that your Sorento has been running without glitches ever since. That gives me a major sigh of relief! I guess I shouldn't be quick to judge all mechanics based on my past experience. It’s time to give another one a shot. Hoping for a smooth and easy fix to this issue and let my beloved Sportage run as smooth she always did. Cheers to you for all the help. Stay safe on the road! Best.

Hey! I feel ya, I had a fairly similar problem with my 2008 Kia Sorento. Strange how the simplest things can be so finicky, eh? In my case, I had to troubleshoot a cable and plug connection that was defective in my car's electronics. It seemed serious at first, what with all the confusing error messages and whatnot. But turned out, it wasn’t a huge deal, more like a pesky issue. Last time I rolled into the garage, I reckon they did a good job. The guys there had to do some detangling of the wires under the hood and seats. It was mostly a case of some wires crossing paths that shouldn't have and causing electrical problems affecting the seat functions. So right now, I'd suggest you give your local garage another shot. Ask them to look specifically into the electrical connections. It might just be a small mess of wires causing you all these troubles. Hope this helps. Best of luck with it!
