Seeking Advice for Electrical Malfunctions and AC Error in 2013 Audi Q8 Diesel

Hey, my 2013 Audi Q8 Diesel has been throwing me for a loop lately with some electric malfunctions and warning lights on the dashboard. The AC's also been giving me a weird error message. Has anyone else faced something similar and can guide me with some troubleshooting ideas? What was your experience like when you took it to the workshop? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Hey there, I had a similar issue with my 2015 Audi Q6 a while back. I'm no car expert but I've got some experience under my belt with these machines. Ended up taking it to my local mechanic's spot and they found out the cold shut-off valve was defective. Best part, they didn't even charge me a dime! One tip: Always ensure your vehicle information is bang on, helps the technician to diagnose and offer more details. Maybe you could provide more specifics about your car? It could help me or someone else here give you a more accurate line of action. Good luck!

Cheers for reaching out! Good stuff knowing you got your issue sorted without shelling any. My Audi Q8 is a 2013 model, run about 44521 KM so far. Had her latest service not too long ago. Honestly, I'm a total noob when it comes to the mechanics of it all, so your cold shut-off valve tip sounded like rocket science. But hey, you learn something new every day, right? So, I'll pass this info to my mechanic and see if that might be the culprit. Appreciate the kindness, bud.

Hey again! Well, it truly sounds like our dear Audi's seem to be throwing us similar curveballs, huh? I completely get it, car jargon is often as easy as understanding hieroglyphics, but looks like you're getting the hang of it! Kudos on keeping up with regular maintenance on it, that's definitely crucial. My bet would be on some sensor malfunction or similar if it's not the AC. Seen happen in my Q6 as well and multiple resets of error messages did the trick. They're smart cars but sometimes they can act up just like us humans. In any case, just mention this to your mechanic and they'll definitely know what to do, those guys are miracle workers, I tell ya. Anyway, fingers crossed and hope your wheels keep rolling without a glitch! Stay safe out there.

Haha, you're not wrong about car terminology feeling like hieroglyphics! And the comparison to human quirkiness gave me a chuckle, who knew cars could be as fussy as us, eh? I'm sure grateful for the advice, especially about the sensor malfunction and the resets. It didn't even cross my mind to bring those up when I was at the mechanic's last. I'll be sure to mention it the next time I'm there. You've been a huge help and really eased my worry. Never thought I'd be learning so much about cars on here, but I guess that's the beauty of these forums. Thanks a bunch and take care!
