Hey, thanks for the valuable input! Talking about warning lights, yes, a few did show up intermittently over the last week. Some strange stuff like the brake system warning and hybrid system warning lights came on, but they vanished after a restart. The car's last service was at 161184 KM, and there's been just regular city driving since then. Can these warnings have any connection with the transmission issue? Appreciate your assistance. Cheers!

Hey again! Yep, those warning lights could indeed be related to the transmission issues you're facing. In my case, the transmission control unit malfunction didn't throw up any warning lights in the beginning. But as the issue got more severe, I started seeing a number of different unusual warning lights showing up and going off intermittently - somewhat like what you're describing. If the control unit isn't working right, it can cause all sorts of weird signals and glitches, which might explain why those warning lights are coming up at unusual. I'd say you should absolutely have your car checked out at your local workshop soon. The technician will likely run some diagnostic tools to confirm if it's indeed a faulty transmission control unit, or if something else is to blame. Try not to worry too much - my Lexus has been running as smooth as butter since I got the issue sorted. So once you get that nasty bit fixed, I reckon you'll be back in business! Stay safe on the roads. Cheers!

Hey! You've been an immense help really appreciate it. That does give me some relief - the unusual warning lights were making me sweat bullets! As logic would have it, I'm going to follow your advice and get to the local workshop immediately. Here's hoping it's just a faulty transmission control unit and nothing major! We all need our cars running smoothly, don't we? Anyway, I'll drop in with an update once the techie guy gets it figured. Really appreciate your time and help. Cheers and safe driving!

Hey there! I've got some experience with cars and had a similar issue with my 2018 Lexus RX Hybrid. It might indeed be your transmission control unit causing this trouble. In my case, I took my car to a trusted local workshop where they diagnosed the problem as a defective transmission control unit too. They ended up replacing it, which set me back by about 1000€, but it fixed the issue completely. Now, did you notice any warning lights on the dashboard or any other specific symptoms? More details about your vehicle status might help give a better insight. Cheers!
