Seeking Advice on 2011 Mazda CX5 ABS/DSC System Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Mazda CX5 owner is experiencing issues with the ABS/DSC system, indicated by warning lights and a stored fault. The suspected cause is the ASC system, possibly the ASC relay. A similar issue in another Mazda model was resolved by replacing the ASC relay. It is recommended to conduct a full ABS system check to identify the exact problem, which could range from a faulty relay to issues with wheel speed sensors or the ABS module.

Hey! Really appreciate your insight! My Mazda CX5's already hit 298591 KM, yet she's still pretty sturdy. My last service was about 4 months back. Actually, I just realized I haven't had a full ABS system check in a while - probably should have that looked at during my next service. Hopefully it's just the ASC relay as you mentioned, won't mind paying a few bucks if it gets sorted. Thanks for chiming in! Cheers.

Hey there, Glad to help! Sounds like your Mazda's been good to you so far, that's a lot of mileage! Since your last service was pretty recent, I'd definitely recommend getting that ABS system thoroughly checked next time as you suggested. It's hard to pin it down without running some tests, but from what I can tell, you’re on the right track suspecting the ASC. That was my issue. Didn’t cost me an arm and a leg thankfully. Remember, ABS/DSC issues could be anything from a worn-out relay to wheel speed sensors or even the ABS module. But don't worry, if it’s just the ASC relay, it should be a relatively easy (and not too expensive) fix. Keep us posted on how it goes, bud. Happy driving till then! Best,

Hey! Thanks a bunch for your words of wisdom! I'll definitely keep an eye out for all those potential ABS/DSC culprits you mentioned. Getting a full system check now just seems like the smartest next step. And you're right, the old girl's been solid as a rock so far, let's hope it's nothing major this time around. I'll give you an update once I've paid the mechanics a visit. Until then, happy motoring to you as well! Take care,

Hey there, Sounds familiar. Had a similar problem on my 2009 Mazda 3, same bug, different model. I have some experience messing around under the hood. I was clueless at first but I took my car to the local workshop. They figured out it was indeed the ASC relay acting up. Had to shell out about 90 Euro, but it sorted things right out. Just to be sure though, could you spill more details about your ride? It’ll help me give you more precise advice. Best,
