Thanks for the input! My Palisade's mileage is at 22,380 Km currently, she's still relatively young, I'd say. No real drama with her until now. I service her regularly, last one being just a couple months ago. I'm gonna try and diagnose the selector lever issue, and if I've got no luck, guess I'll have to bite the bullet and take it to the mechanic. Not thrilled by the potential expense but here's hoping it's not too steep. Cheers for the helpful advice.

Hey, glad I could help! Sounds like your Palisade's been looked after well, that's good to hear. Too bad about the shifting issue though. Based on your mileage and maintenance history, it seems a bit early for things to go wrong but hey, machines can be unpredictable sometimes. If it turns out to be the selector lever issue, the cost should be in the same ballpark as what I paid, give or take. But before you go down that route, there's one more thing. Erratic shifting can sometimes be caused by low transmission fluid or the wrong type being used. I'd say it's worth having a quick look before you run to the mechanic. It could save ya some bucks. Also, check if code P0705 pops up. It points to 'Transmission Range Sensor Circuit malfunction,' which relates to the selector lever as well. Either way, reluctantly to the shop or not, I wish ya the best of luck. Keep us updated! Cheers!

You're a lifesaver! You're right, can't believe I didn't consider the transmission fluid. I'll be sure to check that out first and then, if needed, look for the error code you mentioned. Thanks for all the advice, really appreciate it. Fingers crossed it's not a major issue and I can avoid that trip to the mechanic, haha! Will definitely keep you guys posted. Cheers and wish me luck!

Hey there, sounds like a bummer. I've got some experience with cars, though I'm not exactly a pro. About two years back, I had a similar issue with my 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. Turned out there was damage in my cable connection on the selector lever. So your hunch might be right. Took it to my local mechanic 'cause I ain't good with these things myself. Spent about 365 Euro to get it patched up, not the cheapest, but it sorted the problem. Having said that, it would be easier to help ya if I had more info about your Palisade like mileage, maintenance history, etc. Might be the same issue, might not, more deets might help. Hope you get it sorted soon!
