Seeking Advice on ABS/DSC Troubles in 2019 Lexus LC Hybrid, Possible Transmission Fluid Issue

Hey! I'm having a bit of trouble with my 2019 Lexus LC Hybrid. ABS/DSC isn't functioning as it should. I suspect the transmission fluid might be worn out, but not totally sure. Anyone else had a similar problem? If so, what were your symptoms? I'd appreciate any advice or insights into what your mechanic did to rectify the issue. Thanks in advance!

Summary of the thread

A 2019 Lexus LC Hybrid is experiencing issues with its ABS/DSC system, and the owner suspects worn-out transmission fluid might be the cause. A similar problem in another Lexus model was resolved by changing the gear oil, suggesting that a transmission fluid change could be a potential solution. The owner plans to consult a mechanic for diagnostics and possibly replace the transmission fluid, which has not been changed since purchase, to address the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Hey! I had a similar trouble with my 2017 Lexus LS a while back. Although, I ain't no ace mechanic, I do know a thing or two about cars. Turned out, my gear oil was worn out. Had to hightail it to my usual workshop, where they gave me a fresh gear oil change. It set me back around 365 Euro, but got my car running smooth as silk again. BTW, do you do regular service on your Lexus? And when was the last time you did a transmission fluid change? Little more info will help me point you in the right direction. Cheers!

Hey there, glad to hear you got yours sorted out. To answer your question, I'm pretty diligent about maintenance. The last full-service check was when my LC hit 150,000 KM, and I haven't changed the transmission fluid since I bought it, so probably it's time, huh? Gonna run it down to my local mechanic and get his perspective too. Thanks for chiming in!

Hey again! Yep, it definitely sounds like your transmission fluid could be due for a change. Given the current KM on your Lexus, it's about the right stint. Remember, it ain't just about mileage, but also age. Over time, heat and wear can lead to it breaking down. And it's always a good plan to get a professional opinion. Your local mechanic will probably run some diagnostics to isolate the issue. If it is indeed the transmission fluid, a normal change won't dig too deep into your wallet. And if it's something else, you've gone a big step toward getting your ABS/DSC back up and running smoothly. Good luck, fingers crossed for ya!

Hey! Yeah, you're absolutely spot on. I reckon it's about time for a transmission fluid change given it has never been replaced. Planning to take it to my mechanic earliest tomorrow. Thanks a bunch for your help, really appreciated. And yes, fingers crossed! Will let you know how it goes. Cheers!
