Hey, thanks for the help! My Mazda's been with me for a good while, and it's already clocked up 172496 km. Went for a full service just last month, so this alarm issue kinda took me by surprise. Based on your suggestion, I'm thinking to get the battery checked. Thanks again!

Hey! No problem at all! With that mileage and considering your car's age, it's quite possible that the aux battery for the alarm system has simply reached the end of its life. These things do happen, even if it's surprising since your car just got serviced. When I took my Mazda 3 to the workshop, they tested the battery first before deciding to replace it. So, I'd suggest you go ahead and get a mechanic to test the aux battery - should give you a clearer picture. Best of luck with it and let us know how it goes! Cheers!

Sweet, I appreciate the advice. I've scheduled a visit to my local workshop and will have them test the aux battery. Cheers for all the help, and I'll be sure to keep you in the loop about how it turns out! Take care!

Hey there! I had a similar deal with my '01 Mazda 3. I've got some car experience up my sleeve - not exactly a pro, but I know my stuff. In my case, it ended up being a discharged battery due to aging. Luckily, my local workshop managed it well. A new battery set me back about 330 Euro. But look, to really guide you, we'll need a bit more deets about your car. Mileage, how long you've had it, the works. Let's take it from there, okay?
