Hey there, Ah, it looks like our Volvos are part of the same club! You mentioning your experience with the access control system and the key fob jogged my memory - it's quite the hinkey situation. So you had to replace the door handle, huh? Just curious, do you recall how much dough you ended up having to fork over for the fix? And since you got it sorted, have you noticed any other peculiarities popping up? Thanks a ton for your help! Cheers!

Hey, Yeah, that's right! Good ol' Volvo club, eh? The defective door handle was the real culprit that needed replacing. As for the cost, it did lighten my pocket a bit - ran me around 390 €. It's not exactly spare change, but sometimes that's what it takes to get our beloved metal horse back on track, right? And get this, ever since that whole Access control fiasco was sorted, everything's been running smooth as a baby's bottom. No other strange occurrences or gremlins popping out. Hopefully it stays that way for a good while, fingers crossed! Always happy to help a fellow Volvo friend out. Cheers!

Hey, 390 €? Bit of a blow to the wallet, but I reckon I've spent more on less worthwhile things! Good to hear it was a one-time fix and not a prelude to a litany of issues. Gives me hope my own ol’ metal horse will be back in solid shape soon enough. Thanks for the info; you've been a real lifesaver! Crossing my fingers no gremlins show up in your machine. Here's to smooth sailing (or should I say driving?). Cheers!

Hey, Funny you should mention that. I've got a 2010 Volvo S40 and had a similar issue not too long ago. The blooming key fob was on the fritz and my door handle wasn't cooperating either. Took it to the garage and, turns out, the trouble point was the access control system just like you suspected. The door handle for the comfort access was defective and had to be replaced. Now, bear in mind, the trouble wasn't earth-shattering, but it wasn't exactly a cakewalk, either. It was the real deal and a bit of a puzzle for the technician, but they eventually got it sorted. Just hope your issue isn't as convoluted, those car things can be a right headache. So I'd suggest finding a trusty mechanic and get it looked at. Good luck with that! Cheers!
