Hey folks, Hoping someone might give me a nod in the right direction. I've got a 2007 Volvo C30, gasoline-powered with a rough 190K on the clock. Recently been having some funny issues with my key fob and the lock/unlock system. Feels like the problem lies with the access control system, but I'm not totally sure. Last time I popped into a mechanic, let's just say the experience left a bit to be desired. Just wondering if anyone out there has run into similar roadblocks with their own C30? Took it to the garage and, turns out, the trouble point was the access control system just like you suspected. The door handle for the comfort access was defective and had to be replaced. Now, bear in mind, the trouble wasn't earth-shattering, but it wasn't exactly a cakewalk, either. It was the real deal and a bit of a puzzle for the technician, but they eventually got it sorted. It's not exactly spare change, but sometimes that's what it takes to get our beloved metal horse back on track, right? And get this, ever since that whole Access control fiasco was sorted, everything's been running smooth as a baby's bottom. No other strange occurrences or gremlins popping out.
