Seeking Advice on Resolving Terminal 15 Interruption Issues in 2020 Mazda CX-30 Petrol Engine

Hey, been having a bit of trouble with my 2020 Mazda CX-30 with an petrol engine. I've noticed a few problems like the general electric malfunction, stored fault codes, dim or flickering lights, and a weak battery during startup. At this point, I'm suspecting the problem might be due to an Interruption of terminal 15. Has anyone experienced something similar and managed to resolve it at their workshop? I'm really keen on hearing your experiences and how you got it fixed. Thanks in advance!

Hey there, sounds like you're having a tough one. I'm not an expert, but I've some experience fiddling with cars, mainly my own ride, a 2018 Mazda CX-5. Had a similar problem, turned out to be a dodgy Motor control main relay. Took it to my local workshop, those guys know their onions. They diagnosed the issue and got the thing replaced quickly. Paid around 130€ to get it fixed. Not the cheapest, but always pays to have it sorted professionally. But, you know each case can be different. To give you a more accurate idea I'd need to know more about your car. Things like, how many miles you got on it? Whether you've done any recent repairs or mods? And, how often you get it serviced? That sort of thing. Hope this helps a bit!

Hey, thanks for the quick response. Truly appreciate the advice. Just to shed some more light, my Mazda CX-30 has covered around 231318 KM now. The car was last serviced just about a month ago, didn't have major issues back then. Haven't done any modifications or major repairs lately apart from the usual oil change and brake pads replacement. I, too, believe in getting things done professionally but thought to see what the community has got to say before taking it to the garage. Will check on the Motor control main relay as you suggested. Cheers!

Hey, you bet! Your ride sounds like it's been put through its paces, eh? Given the Mileage and the recent service, there are a few variables at play. But no worries, we can try figuring it out together! So the usual oil changes and brake pads replacements are routine maintenance stuff and unlikely to be the culprit - good on you for keeping up with those. As I said before, the Motor control main relay might be the issue, considering my previous experience. But honestly, it could also be a faulty alternator or battery given your symptoms. In fact, if the battery isn't holding a charge, it gonna cause dim or flickering lights since they all run off battery voltage. A weak battery might also explain the trouble you're having during startup. Again, keep in mind these are just educated guesses - you could still have an electrical problem somewhere else, like you suggested with the Terminal 15 interruption. In any case, best to have a professional take a closer look. If you've got a local workshop that you trust, take it in. It's important to nip these things in the bud before they become bigger and pricier problems down the line. Hope this helps, let me know how it goes. Take care!

Thanks again for your insight! You're absolutely right, the alternator and battery could indeed be the problematic areas. And yes, the mileage is up, but then again, it's been an absolute pleasure driving this beast. I'll definitely get it checked and provide you with an update on the situation. It's always better to get things nailed down before they escalate, just as you mentioned. Hope to see you around here. Cheers!
